I just got to try Craque- bite sized deliciousness! It's crunchy, with chocolate, peanut butter and powdered sugar, basically perfection. It is ridiculously addictive.
You can get it in little bags with cute custom labels, I think they would be perfect to give out with valentines.
I am excited to try this:

I don't think I ever fully explained the Sweet of the Week. It doesn't have to be a card, or even paper. It can be an outfit, an animal, a show, a website. It's something that i found to be a treat. This week it is the organized by color desk of Somethings Hiding in Here. I am constantly impressed by every thing they do, it's no surprise that I love their work space too. I'm betting that Stephen custom built those shelves! They are perfect.

My friends just bought a historic home in Hollywood. It is a beautiful Spanish style apartment. I wanted to make their housewarming invitations, with a rubber stamp design and calligraphy but due to a conflict, the party had to be moved up two weeks. Which means they needed invites to be sent out the next day! In the morning I went and took pictures of their place and that's how I got the new idea for their house warming invitation. I edited the picture in photo shop, and got Kinko's to print 4 on a page- double sided. Simple black copies on luxurious cream paper.
See the whole photo shoot on my flickr.
Read about El Cabrillo apartments on wikipedia.

Our premiere party was a hit! It was really fun to research 60's and I think everything turned out delicious, even if it doesn't look that way. There are plenty of things you can have to make your party very 60's but i think these are a essentials to have at a Mad Men Party.
Sugar Cubes for Champagne cocktails.
Feta Cheese Olives
These are the brands we like.
Pigs in a blanket
Swedish meatballs in a grape jelly + chili sauce.
Heineken- from Betty's "around the world" party
Ambrosia Fruit salad
And a staple at every cocktail party, an assortment of cheese and crackers.
Plus a lot of booze.

What is it about Sundays that makes a person want to organize? I started this project on Sunday, but did not finish it until Monday. Running a craft business from home, I tend to have a lot of supplies- all over the house. Maybe a person, say a boyfriend, might constantly be bothered by this. So you come up with a solution to both problems! I need my supplies to be organized and he doesn't want my supplies on the dining room table. We measured this space and it perfectly fit 9 sets of these Helmer drawers from IKEA. Unfortunately, this wasn't an option. That was the easy part. The hard part was figuring out what to put where! When that was all done, the last task was labeling the drawers. I finally have a place for everything!
Starting from the right, I have my most used items. "To send" is where I put letters I'm working on, little gifts I've been collecting and my address book. No bills! This is a fun only drawer. Bills + other boring stuff belong on the desk- which is not my territory. On top is where my scanner resides.
On the left I have my stock of greeting cards + stationery (not my line, but cards I've bought) and on the right are all Paper Pastries line stamps and supplies. One day I will fill up a whole set with PP stamps! The boxes on top hold 12 x 12 scrap booking paper and other items that don't fit in the drawers.
I will have them memorized in no time.
I am pretty pleased that my cameras finally have a place of their own and next time I need film developed I won't be scrambling around "I know I have one more roll-somewhere!" On top- personal stationery sample book, ribbon box and file drawers. The file drawers are from Target and are where I keep all my receipts and orders organized.

This past weekend I had to go birthday shopping for my college room mate + my sister. While browsing I kept in mind a business card holder. My collection was getting out of control! I kept them in a drawer but they were getting bent and forgotten all stacked together. It was at Lula Mae in Pasadena where I found gifts and a solution to my problem.
Lucky for me they had this business card holder from Girl of All Work. I've heard of this brand before but had never really seen it carried anywhere. They have many different categories and this design is from the jump collection.
I love that the book is covered in linen and these little silhouettes.
The back cover has their logo.
I was quite pleased and then I saw this. I thought it was a phone book but it's a business card holder! The larger one is more "keep at home" and this one is petite, portable and pink! Because really, if you think about it I will only acquire more and more business cards.
The back has this adorable flower pattern.
Another must have from Girl of All Work- telegram inspired postcards!
The mix of fonts is what did it for me. The attention to detail makes these irresistable!
The back has a designated "deliver to" and a place for your return address, important when sending any piece of mail.
Visit Lula Mae to see their re-decorated store and all their new merchandise!
