World Wide

This morning I'm driving up north.  We are going to Santa Cruz for the 4th of July.  Since I won't be able to fulfill orders while on vacation I am offering free worldwide shipping on all etsy shop purchases made from today to July 5th.  Shipping will be refunded after purchase and I will ship when I get home on July 6th.  Not everything is available in my etsy shop but I am hoping to add more tonight or tomorrow.

A new product!

This debuted last Sunday at Patchwork, a "please deliver to" stamp set.

You can choose from two different fonts, and it comes with black ink. I'm thinking of adding other ink options but I thought black would be best to start.  Those vintage postage stamps are from my pen pal, Christine, get some here, and she will be at Renegade SF this summer.

I couldn't pick a favorite, which is why I made two. Do you have a favorite?

Everything comes packaged in a kraft box, sealed with divine twine, and a tag marking which style is inside.
Get one of your own here.

Much Love Monday: international film

You're aware that I love film photography but did you know I also love international blogs?  My two most favorite (or favourite) are Forever is Today, based in Sweden and That Kate, based in London. These girls take us along on their travels with their great photos. Above is Stockholm in the summer by Hilda Grahnat, see more over at her blog Forever is Today. Also, Hilda sells her photos online here.

And this photo makes me want to vacation in Copenhagen. Mormor's Tea Shop by Kate. See more of her photos on her blog That Kate. Gorgeous!
"Much Love Mondays" from Much Love Anna
photos from their respective blogs.

Goodbye, you will be missed.

The large envelopes that hold the Signed, Sealed, Delivered Stationery Sets are being discontinued.  Though I am sad about it because I love that big envelope, there is some good news because they are now on sale.  Limited quantities are available so when they are sell, they're gone forever!  They come with 12 writing sheets, and 12 envelopes, each piece stamped with a design. Get them now for $20, and if you buy today use code "ENVELOPE" for 10% entire purchase.  Stock available: 3 lol cats, 2 classic camera, 5 stormy weather, 2 santa cruz, 2 jet setter, 2 communication and 1 chef's set.

Recap of Camera Club Meeting 6.21.10

We had a new addition to our meeting- a document camera + projector.  Though the large image left out most of the colors, it did allow us to discuss and critique as a group.  We are trying to adjust the settings and find better lighting so that the photos show up more true to life.

As usual, after we see everyone's photos we pick favorites and hang them up.

I have been more and more impressed with the quality of photos each month and this theme turned out the best photos yet.  There was a wide range of places, subjects, and formats.

Everyone gets to vote on the top pics of the favorites, this month was a tough choice for me.

After a lot of thought, I kept returning to Mandy's Fairfax district "combos"  (really called diptychs.)  Could you believe she took these photos with an app? It's a sign of the times!

This was my favorite photo overall, and she is going to make me a copy of it!

The top pic photographers, from left: Turner Johnson: black and white film, Silver Lake bar. Mandy Sutton, droid camera app, Fairfax district. Donn McKnight, Nikon digital, Silver Lake.

The top pics will be displayed all month in the shop, until the next favorites are chosen.

This month's theme: Light.  I'm really excited to see what everyone comes up with for this one!
See more neighborhood photos in our flickr photo stream.

If you'd like to join the club just send me an email, we meet once a month and membership is free.

Thirty until twenty five

In 30 days, it will be my 25th birthday. I have carefully compiled a (dream) wish list of 25 presents, conveniently organized into six categories.
For my office/studio: 1. My dream typewriter, 2. Office supply print {currently sold out} , 3. Beautiful pink and gold boxes (thank you katie!) 4. Lined paper pencil pouch (thank you allie!)

I love it all!

For my stationery needs:  10. Any and everything from this shop (thank you sasha!)

For fine art: 13. lubitel +166, for fun art: 14. Fuji Instax (thank you tony!), and for holding film: 15. camera pouch. ( thank you erika!)

For Fun: 23. A day at disneyland, and maybe they can bring back the original submarine ride?

I would be beyond thrilled to receive any of these items but what I would love more than anything is to see all my girlfriends, near and far. (update: visited by Erika in early july, allie and molllye in late july)

CB I hate perfume

Cathy of California recommended some places for me to go while in New York and this was one of them. These aren't normal perfumes, they are better. I bet your favorite scent is here, and if not they also do custom work.  Some of my favorites were bonfire, and library.  I got myself black tea and got my sister macadamia coffee. I heard once that just smelling coffee does the trick of waking you up. Others I enjoyed smelling were: forest floor, clean baby butt, pumpkin pie, and thunder shower. The reason we love smell is because it triggers a memory. The more I think about it, the crazier/more awesome it is that you can buy a reminder in a bottle.
Zeffer is the shop dog, he is a giant but very friendly.

If you loved a scent but are not a perfume wearer, the most popular fragrances are available in home sprays.
The displays were open shelving, clean and simple.
Would you believe it if I smelled every single scent? Allie and I were there an hour! I love this place.
Thank you Cathy for your recommendation.

Winner of the Postage Service stamp starter kit

kim said...

i would love the tradition of casual weekend picnics in the park to come back...complete with homemade sandwiches & pie, picnic baskets, worn quilts & sundresses :)
Email me your address within a week and I'll send you the kit.

Though I'm a day late I'd like to say that I love my dad and happy father's day! A couple things I'd like to thank my dad for:

-taking me to see the little mermaid in theaters, twice
-knowing (or figuring out) how to fix/build anything
-introducing me to classic films (the philadelphia story is still one in my top 5)
-being patient and supportive
-being able to twist an apple in half
-showing me the importance of details
-getting me up for school everyday (too bad i didn't have this wake up service in college)
-being a cat person
-all the road trips
-v necks
-listening to me talk, about everything

and for the record, I don't think a mustache is appropriate anywhere but my dad's face :{

What do you ♥ today?

A brief look at Brooklyn

Where I stayed, and my tour guides.
Chocolate cupcake from Baked.
The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens: Japanese Gardens,
and The Cranford Rose Gardens.
It lightly sprinkled throughout the day but we stayed and wandered the gardens for hours.
I have never seen Bonsai Trees in person before, I love them.
"Dwarfed potted trees"
I would like to see the sunrise from this spot one day.
Prospect Park
I would have to say, a pretty perfect trip.
