Scout's Honor Co.

I've been a fan of Annemarie's work since she first came on the scene. I definitely have a big crush on her hand lettering style, it's so unique. Some of her work reminds me of letters written in frosting :)  Did you hear she opened up a shop? I just ordered a few things.
I needed this "thank you" rubber stamp. It's going to look so good embossed! It also reminds me of vintage baseball team logos.
I also got some of her gift tags.
They are large and in charge. I've yet to use one but a friends birthday is tomorrow so maybe I'll have the chance if I can get a present in time.
Annemarie included a few extra cards and a personal note, so sweet!
Check out the rest of her goods here.

New Product No. 5

This is a name stamp in the flower child style. Use it to personalize any and everything in sight. This is perfect for you if you like the looks of any return address stamp but you can't stay in one place for too long.
That's the end of the new product update- thanks for sticking through it :)

New Product No. 4

These are the newest products I was most excited about sharing. These are hand lettered return address stamps. These are a bit more fun and casual than the other styles I offer. Again, each style was originally designed for a friend so their individual personality inspired each design. Six to choose from:
I'm very happy with how they turned out!  You can find them in our shop right here.

New Product No. 3

This isn't really a new product as much as it is an updated product. I was sick of the old font designs so I came up with these. Four new designs to choose from.
The old font examples all used my name and address. For these new stamps, friends names and addresses are the examples. I let their individual personality inspire the new design.
You can check them out in the shop here.
Two more new products to be debuted later today.

New Product No. 2

The  second edition to the shop is a hand lettered custom business card stamp.
My friend Mollye just started up a muffin business and needed a business card that reflected her style and the brand she's building. We worked together and came up with this. I'm looking forward to working with other budding businesses :)
Still more new products to be debuted later today.

New Product No. 1

As promised on Friday, I'm going to share new products today starting with these gift cards.
These are perfect for when you want to just say a little something. I know sometimes looking at a big blank card can seem intimidating.
I made two different styles and Katie helped me pick out the colors for them.
We're excited to add these to the shop. You can find the blue set here, and the cream set here. More new products will be posted later today...stay tuned!

Sent with love No. 3

Some of the mail I sent out early this week.
I got this tiny set of stamps on my last trip to Santa Cruz.
The set comes with 12 mini stamps, a thick but mini notepad, and a terrible ink pad.
I discarded the ink pad and used color box's turquoise instead.
I stamped samples on two sheets of the mini notepad and stuck them inside the kit so I can easily recognize what designs are inside.
Basically every envelope I sent out this week was decorated with these mini stamps.
I can't decide on the cutest. Maybe the cloud?
I recently received this in the mail from Donovan. Isn't is beautiful?
Stay tuned for new products on Monday.
Have a great weekend!

Buried Treasure No. 1

Buried Treasure- something that I shoved in my drawer and forgot but recently re-discovered. Lots of photos from past vacations that I've yet to share.
I found a lot of pictures that I never shared. One of the best things about film is waiting for the surprises to come back. You sometimes get shots that you had forgotten about. This roll is from last June. Katie, Nat, and I went up north and came across some of the best ice cream I'd ever tried.
It's called Smitten, it's right across from Miette bakery in Hayes Valley. They make your ice cream right in front of you with fresh ingredients. The line was about 20 people long. In front of us was an adorable puppy named Rocky. He made waiting in the line go by quickly.
Afterwards we went across to Berkeley and found some knitta.

All Monsters Are Good

My good friend Virgie has started up a new venture. It's the funnest business model I've ever heard about. It's called All Monsters are Good, a mobile portrait studio. For the month of February, she is set up at ReForm School. She made this incredible photo backdrop of red and pink shiny sequins. I watched her work on building the backdrop, it's really something to see. I'm sure my pictures, of her pictures, don't do them any sort of justice. You can sign up for a session with her, but hurry because I think she's only there until the end of February. There's no limit to what you can do, you can bring your bff, brother, or even your pet. Why not bring the whole family?
On the opening night, Katie, Tony and I went to have our portrait taken. These are the prints from that night. There's also fun props and sashes to add to your photo session. Katie wore the  "sweet heart" sash and I wore "love muffin."
There's many different packages to choose from. I got an assortment of 8x10s, 5x6s, and wallets. I framed some 8x10s for my parents and grandma.
As for the wallets, I'm going to stick them in some outgoing mail. It's like getting school portraits again, but this time they're cool. So fun :) We had such a good time that we just had another session this week!
To set up a portrait session with Virgie you can email her at allmonstersaregood(at)gmail.com

Required Reading No. 3

My subscription ended with number 11. I was disappointed I forgot to work Uppercase into my budget, it really is a great day when it arrives. Then I heard that issue 12 was the "paper" issue. I couldn't go without it. Luckily, it was at ReForm School so I didn't have to search high and low for a copy.
This really is my favorite issue yet. The articles are always interesting, and I usually let the issue linger over a few cups of coffee, over a few days.
But this issue was just too good. I lost one whole afternoon curled up on my couch.
The dynamic duo behind Somethings Hiding In Here took these photos. Though I've been to the nyc library a few times this piece made it feel new and exciting. I do want to visit again.
Of course in an issue about paper, mail played a big part. I'm glad letter writing socials are getting press.
If you ever wondered what the differences were between different tapes, there's a handy field guide.
An article about vintage cameras,
and one of the most fun things in life- road trips.
There's also a story about my friend Kyle's trip across the country. You can follow her adventures here.
