Mrs. Grossman's Sticker Factory

Since I was around 9 years old, I've wanted to visit Mrs. Grossman's Sticker Factory. I'm so happy my little one is also obsessed with stickers and that I get to have fun with them pretty much every day because of her. She's a member of the Sticker Club and just loses it when she sees that envelope in our mail slot. This past weekend, I was up in Northern California, driving with a group of girlfriends from Oakland to Guernville. The directions alerted us to an accident coming up in Petaluma and we decided to pull off the highway instead of sitting in the traffic. I casually suggested the sticker factory and was so happy when everyone said they'd be down to check it out. It's in a very industrial part of town (makes sense, it's a factory!) and finding it was a bit tough. But so worth it. You're greeted in the lobby by a receptionist, and she also handles checkout of the shop. We were lucky enough to meet Carol, a recent retired employee of 26 years who is filling in for an injured coworker. Even though we had missed all the tours, she was very sweet and let us watch the intro video, and chatted with us for a long time. She showed us the wall of fame, where one of each sticker from that year was saved. Depending on their location in the factory, some are more faded than others. Those were my absolute favorite to see because I remember when they came out. I was all about Mrs. Grossman's and Lisa Frank in elementary school.  Here's a few of my favorite classic sheets:

Those holographic dragons and castles take me back!

Then we got to see the master reels. Sticker Mecca!

After that we got to look around in the shop and it was incredible. Any and every kind of sticker you could ever want, plus sticker books, activity pads, and lots of stickers on sale. I went nuts! Ellis has a lot of these already but I had to get doubles of some of my favorites. The camping set and fish! Not to mention, I love any and all tiny hearts.

It was so much fun. We spent an hour there but I could have spent more ;) Highly recommend!
